Trip and Speed Meters

A trip meter can be reset at any point in a journey, making it possible to record the distance traveled in any particular journey or part of a journey.

They can be used to record the distance traveled on each tank of fuel, to track energy efficiency.

A trip meter can also be re-set to zero at each turn in a navigation sequence of driving directions, to monitor and confirm your progress.

Trip meters are available with a GPS sensor to detect car movement, with the obvious advantage of a much simpler installation. Especially suited if the speed output signal of your car can not be accessed.
